Lamar Odom Compares His Ex-Wives Taraji P. Henson And Khloe Kardashian

Lamar Odom criticized his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian by drawing comparisons to his other ex Taraji P. Henson, stating 'when saying nothing is better than saying anything.'

When asked by Page Six who he would want to start dating again, Lamar chose Taraji over Khloé. “Because I love Taraji. It’s a love thing. It’s about who you love,” he replied. Before Lamar married Khloé in 2009, the former NBA player dated the ‘Empire’ actress. “Taraji is a cool girl. Matter of fact, she’s here [in L.A.]. I got to see her at the BET Awards in June. So maybe I’ll get to shoot my shot at her again,” he said.

He added, “I think the difference between Taraji and Khloe is how they [were] brought up. Their upbringing makes people different and [affects] the way they think. I think Taraji is more skilful in what she does as an actress compared to what Khloé does.” After one meeting, Khloé and Lamar were married in August 2009. Over the next seven years, their marriage had highs and lows that strained it.

Khloé filed for divorce in 2013 as a result of Lamar’s substance misuse and alleged adultery. Three more years had passed before their divorce was finally formalised after they split up in 2013. Lamar overdosed dangerously during that time in a Nevada brothel. To aid with his recovery, Khloé put the divorce on hold at the moment, but she quickly re-filed the paperwork. In December 2016, they resolved their disagreement.

In response to the disturbing 2022 Oscars incident in which Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, Lamar talked about the breakdown of his marriage. He wrote, “He loves his wife. I do not condone violence against anyone. [Will] loves [Jada Pinkett-Smith]. I was told love covers a multitude of sins. I see everyone arguing the merits of this altercation, taking sides, [and] dragging them both to hell when it all boils down to love.”

He went on to say, “He loves his wife. She was hurting, [and] it is a husband’s responsibility to protect his wife.” “Had I protected my wife versus mentally, emotionally, and spiritually hurting her, I may still be married,” he continued in the comments. “Let’s use this as a teaching moment, let’s learn to set boundaries, let’s learn to be humble, let’s learn to embrace and forgive each other in the midst of our trials and tribulations versus sitting on a throne of judgment.”
