Since it was announced that Lady Gaga will be playing Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix in the sequel to Joker, titled Joker: Folie à Deux, the expectations from the sequel have risen to new height. Everyone is excited to see Lady Gaga stepping into the role of Joker’s eccentric love interest.
But now, a new rumour about Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn is going on and if it turns out to be true then, it will be quite the risk director Phillips and team would take.
According to the new rumour, Grammy-winning singer’s take on Harley Quinn will reportedly change one key part of the antihero’s backstory in 2024’s Joker: Folie à Deux.
According to insider KC Walsh, the actress-singer will be seen portraying Harley as a patient at Arkham Asylum alongside the Joker in Joker 2 rather than as a psychiatrist assigned to treat him, as she usually does in her comic origins.
This big revelation also hints that Arkham Asylum will also play important role in the film. The filming began just few days ago and we will get to know more detailed specifics about the twisted relationship between the two, as the film comes close to it’s release date- October 04, 2024.
