Lady Gaga to feature in a murder mystery film by director Ridley Scott

Lady Gaga is all set to star in director Ridley Scott’s upcoming murder mystery film and will play the role of Patrizia Reggiani.

 After the success of A Star Is Born, singer Lady Gaga is all set to star in the next film. The upcoming film is said to be a murder mystery and will be helmed by director Ridley Scott. The plot of the Ridley Scott directorial is said to be about a fashion house and it’s founder’s legacy. The film also includes murder and will tell the story of the family’s journey. Lady Gaga will be seen playing the role of Patrizia Reggiani, who is the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci.

Patrizia Reggiani, who faced the trial and was found guilty was sentenced to jail for of orchestrating her ex-husband murder. Gucci was shot by a hitman outside his office and Reggiani was sentenced to 29 years in prison. The murder by Patrizia Reggiani took everyone by surprise in the fashion industry back in the day and was known in the media as the Black Widow. Her daughter claimed that a brain tumour caused her mother to behave in that way and was released from jail in 2016.

Scott along with the help of wife Giannina Scott will bring the story to screen. The script will be written by first-time screenwriter Roberto Bentivegna and is said to be based on the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.

Lady Gaga who was last seen in the movie A Star Is Born, went on to win an Academy Award nomination for her role in the highly applauded film. She was also seen in Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story on the small screen while she debuted on the big screen with the film Machete Kills. Lady Gaga along with her co-star Bradley Cooper enchanted the crowd at the Academy Award with their soulful song ‘Shallow’ which they performed live! And now fans cannot stay calm and are excited to see her play the highly contentious role of a murder convict in filmmaker Ridley Scott directorial.
