Following Travis Barker’s discharge from the hospital, Kourtney Kardashian unveiled her new hairdo while travelling to the beach with her husband and two of her kids. The 43-year-old recently married woman showed her deep purple-dyed hair on her Instagram Story on July 5. She posted an image of herself posing on the floor of her closet while wearing a white tank top that appeared to be damp and revealed her black lingerie below. She coordinated the top with baggy mom jeans and black sleeves from Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS shapewear line.
The selfie came after numerous pictures that Kourtney shared from her Fourth of July weekend beach break, including the orange Chevy CST that she and her two kids, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7, drove in with Travis Barker, 46. She looked to be wearing the same clothes as in the mirror photo, along with a black cap tied with a string under her chin and black Converse sneakers, in the video Kourtney released of their joyride.
Travis was discharged from the hospital, where he had been confined a week earlier due to pancreatitis, after the beach vacation. Kourtney broke her silence on the subject on Saturday, July 2 by writing on her Instagram Story, “Oh what a scary and emotional week it has been. Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change.”
The reality star added, “Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.” “I am so grateful to God for healing my husband, for all of your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support,” Kourtney added. “I am so touched and appreciative. I am so so thankful to our specialists, doctors and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such wonderful care of my husband and me during the stay.”
The following day, Travis Barker issued a statement of his own. “I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since,” he said. “During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis. I am so very very grateful that with intensive treatment, I am currently much better.”
