Kim Kardashian Wants To Drop West From Her Name

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West exchanged vows in 2014 and share four children. However, Kim has filed for divorce in February.

Kim Kardashian West has filed to be legally single and have her maiden name restored as the divorce process from Kanye West proceeds. The SKIMS mogul filed the legal documents on Friday, which will make her legally a single woman if signed off by a judge, according to TMZ.

Despite Kim’s businesses like Kim Kardashian West Beauty and Kim Kardashian West fragrance using her married initials, she wants to drop West from her name. The news comes hours after Kanye begged Kim ‘run right back to me’ amid their divorce during a Free Larry Hoover concert on Thursday night which his estranged wife attended. Hours earlier, Kim was in attendance at 44-year-old Kanye and Drake’s highly-anticipated concert for the Free Larry Hoover movement at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

She was in the crowd when Ye raised eyebrows by performing an adlibbed verse to his hit Runaway specifically aimed at her. He sang, “I need you to run right back to me. More specifically, Kimberly.” For unversed, the legal move is basically asking the judge to separate the issues of child custody, property, and financial implications from actual marital status, according to DailyMail.

However, Kim has enlisted celebrity attorney Laura Wasser, the decision to separate marital status from other issues not out of the ordinary for the lawyer who has worked plenty of other celebrity clientele. Meanwhile, no word yet if Kanye knew about the legal filing before it was made but he did look happy to be reunited with 35-year-old Drake in behind the scenes images from the concert as they proved their years-long rivalry was over.
