Khloe Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s mother, Andrea Thompson, tragically passed away after suffering a heart attack at home on January 5. And the reality star recently took to her social media and penned an emotional tribute to Tristan’s late mother. In the touching tribute, Khloe promised to protect the NBA star’s special needs brother Amari, who requires 24-hour care.
Khloe recently accompanied Tristan to Andrea’s funeral on January 14, jetting to his hometown of Toronto with her sister, Kim Kardashian, mother Kris Jenner, and the rapper Drake. The Kardashians star shared a series of photos and videos featuring Tristan’s mother. Alongside the carousel of photos and videos, Khloe penned a lengthy tribute in the caption. She started her tribute by saying, ‘I have been avoiding this…. Avoiding accepting this is real. I have so much to say but nothing at all…. I have so many emotions and still, I feel numb.”
Khloe continues, “Life can be brutally unfair at times and This has been one of the toughest times in so many of our lives. But at the same time, I feel blessed that I am lucky to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so incredibly difficult.” She added, “So difficult that I’m choosing not to say goodbye for good because that is something I cannot fathom. Goodbyes for good are something I don’t believe in. I KNOW I will see you again.”
Kardashian continues, “I know I will hear your sweet voice and infectious laugh again. I know I’ll get to feel that embrace of yours. I’ll see you again with the many that have gone before you that I so desperately miss, love and cherish. So, I’m choosing to say, that until I see you again in Heaven, I miss you and I will continue to miss you more and more every single day.”
The reality star concluded her tribute by writing, “So with you: ‘Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.’ John 16:22” For the unversed, Khloe and Tristan have remained on good terms since the end of their romantic relationship. They are happily co-parenting their four-year-old daughter True and their baby boy who was born via surrogate last year in July.
