Kendall Jenner has recently revealed that she got the bride’s approval to wear a controversial skin-baring gown to BFF Lauren Perez’s wedding in November 2021. Recently, Lauren Perez has posted a snap of Kendall Jenner and her other friends including supermodel Bella Hadid.
While some praised the stunning look of Kendall, many of the social media users didn’t like Kendall Jenner’s dress. The model dressed up in her Mônot LBD that caused a huge stir on social media. As one user commented, “Inappropriate outfit at a wedding @kendalljenner I’m embarrassed for you.” Kendall’s best friend Perez didn’t hold back and replied, “SHE LOOKED STUNNING AND I LOVED IT!”
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum also fired back to the troll and replied, “@laurenperez obvi asked for your approval in advance too,” while thanking her friend for tying the knot with a beach wedding. hOWEVER, Fans of Jenner, however, asked the hater, “If the bride herself doesn’t gaf [give a f**k] why do you care?”
The discussion occurred in the comment section of Perez’s latest Instagram post, which included photos from the day she tied the knot with David Waltzer. At the time, Jenner was blasted as ‘rude,’ ‘tacky,’ and ‘disrespectful’ on social media for wearing the incredibly revealing gown to her friend’s seaside wedding in Florida. The images shocked social media users, who dubbed the dress a ‘F*** you’ to Kendall’s pal and insisted they would have kicked the star out if she wore it to their wedding.
Earlier in the day, Kendall was pictured in the same light blue gowns that all the bridesmaids, including Bella Hadid, wore for the outdoor ceremony. It appears to have been a tasteful religious affair, headed over by a rabbi with the men wearing yarmulkes on their heads. But at some point, whether for the reception or after-party is unclear, the bridesmaids changed into new dresses, and Kendall’s was a head-turner.
Pulled from Mônot’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection, which is not yet available to purchase, the dress put the supermodel’s famously slim figure on full display. Just a thin swath of black fabric, twisted thinner in the middle, covered her chest, covering up less than many bikinis would. Nearly her entire stomach was visible, down to her belly button and hip bones.
