Katy Perry REVEALS How She Is Prepping To Be A Mum

Katy Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom are expecting their first child together and it’s a baby girl. The lovebirds are currently cooped up under the same roof and are spending their quarantine time together. Meanwhile, Katy is spending her time at home with her nieces and Orlando’s nine-year old son from the previous marriage, Flynn. Perry said that being around all the kids is preparing her for motherhood. The world-renowned singer announced her pregnancy back in March in a Instagram Live session and soon after that she revealed the gender of the baby. In a recent conversation with BBC’s The Graham Norton Show, Katy admitted how this lockdown period has helped her to prepare for being mother. On the chat show, Katy said, “I’m learning to be a mum fast. Kids gravitate towards me through my music, so I am used to them, but I am not used to being woken up really early in the morning by them staring at me from the side of my bed!” Speaking about her recently released song ‘Daisies’, Katy said that her only message for others through the song is to follow their dreams. She quoted, “It is a simple message of staying true to your dreams no matter what anyone says. In the pandemic, it took on a whole new meaning for me. I think I’ve taken some things for granted and when I get out of this hell, I am going to live my best life and do all those things I’ve perhaps put on the shelf because I thought they were accessible at any time.” Recently, Katy revealed that she is missing drinking alcoholic beverages and how she had to cancel her baby shower amid the on-going COVID-19 crises. Last year on Valentine’s Day Orlando Bloom proposed Katy Perry following an American Idol taping held in Los Angeles. And surely the news of Katy’s pregnancy has brought the power couple more close to each other.
