Globally loved and super successful Hollywood singer Katy Perry recently embraced motherhood with ace and iconic Hollywood star and her fiancé Orlando Bloom wherein both of them became parents to their daughter Daisy Dove who is 6 months old now. Katy and Orlando welcomed their baby girl in August 2020 last year. In her recent interview, Katy opens up on first 6 weeks after her daughter’s birth.

Where she and her fiancé Orlando Bloom are working in sync and together for raising their daughter Daisy Dove, even as a mother now, Katy has had her own set of challenges and adversities so far now. Calling the first six weeks a “rollercoaster”, Katy also spoke about how Orlando and few of her famous celebrity friends made things easier for her.

In her recent appearance as a celebrity guest on the globally renowned chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live, global wide pop singing sensation Katy Perry opened up on her thoughts about embracing motherhood wherein she highlighting the same said, “What I will tell you is nobody talks about the first six weeks after you have the baby, oh my God!” Perry shouted. “That’s wild, what a roller coaster!”.

She also talked in detail about the totally unique challenge of releasing her fifth album titled ‘Smile’, in midst of giving birth to her baby girl Daisy Dove and this experience in totality was so diverse and unusual when compared to other album releases which she had done in the past and throwing more emphasis on it, she said, “I had my fifth album coming out, … and every other album cycle there’d be some kind of celebration or party or dinner, whatever. But this time, I was giving birth to the greatest gift of all, for me, and then my album came out the next day and I was in the hospital and I could not wipe my own butt”.

Despite all these odd and tough challenges faced by her, Katy is blessed and grateful to have become a mother. On this she said, “It’s the best decision I ever made in my entire life”.

Speaking about how her fiancé Orlando’s experience from having his child by a previous relationship proved beneficial for her, Katy asserts, “I have family and support and I’ve got an incredible fiancé who has done this before, he has a 10-year-old son. So as much as I was a little bit like, I don’t need to hear all those stories, they actually helped. They’re like, Oh, you’ve had a run at this, you know how to do this, so he’s been amazing, incredible, and we’re so in love and we’re so grateful”.

Finally spilling the beans on how she got support from her celebrity friends including the globally loved singing sensation Taylor Swift who sent her an embroidered baby blanket as a gift for her daughter, Katy quipped, “She sure did, yeah. Yeah, it was amazing, it was very, very thoughtful. There’s like little inscription and everything, she’s very sweet”.

Also talking about the fact that she doesn’t need lavish gifts to feel supported, Katy told, “I don’t know, I mean look—all you need is love, and you know, a roof over your head, and some milk, and some diapers. That’s really all you need. All the rest, you know, you don’t really need any of it”.
