Kate Moss Testifies In Favour Of Johnny Depp In Court

Kate Moss, Johnny Depp’s ex-girlfriend, was called to court on May 25 to testify about an incident that happened in the 90s, while they were a couple.

As expected, Kate Moss testified in favour of Johnny Depp and shut down rumours about an allegation that Amber Heard brought up in court about Johnny Depp. Moss testified via a video link before a Fairfax, Virginia jury as a rebuttal witness for Amber Heard and Johnny Depp defamation trial on May 25. Earlier, Amber Heard told the court that during a confrontation with Johnny, which involved her sister Whitney, she instantly thought of ‘Kate Moss and stairs.’ Meanwhile, Moss recalled to the judge about an incident that occurred while she and Depp were vacationing in the ’90s.

“We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did,” she said adding, “and there had been a rainstorm and as I left the room, I slipped down the stairs and I hurt my back.” She continued, “And I screamed because I was in because I didn’t know what happened to me, and I was in pain and he came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention.” Moss also added that during the whole course of their relationship, which lasted between 1994 and 1998, “he never pushed me, kicked me, or threw me down any stairs.”

Johnny Depp, 58, and Amber Heard, 36, have accused each other of abuse during their nearly two-year marriage. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million, claiming that she defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post essay that “I became a public figure representing domestic abuse.” Heard did not mention the actor’s name but it was clear that she was targeting him. Heard is countersuing Depp for $100 million claiming that he “unlawfully targeted” her in an “ongoing harassment and online smear campaign.” The Virginia trial is supposed to close on Friday, May 27.
