Justin Bieber Says “I Have Benefited Off Of Black Culture”

The ‘Yummy’ singer has spent the past 10 days using his social media platforms to stand up against racism after George Floyd ‘s death.Floyd, an African-American man, was killed in Minneapolis on May 25 when a white policeman crouched down for almost nine minutes on his neck and ignored the man’s pleas that he couldn’t breathe.In a new Instagram post, Bieber admitted that his music career was influenced by black culture and vowed to use his privilege as a white celebrity to speak out against racial prejudice. Justin Bieber is one of a number of other celebrities who have spoken out during the recent demonstrations against Black Lives Matter.Among them, Adele told her fans to “be righteously angered but be focused”  while Killer Mike gave a rousing speech to Atlanta residents. Michael B. Jordan called toward “invest in black staff,” more people, including movie studios and companies, while Royal Blood urged people to educate themselves more about social inequality.
