Justin Bieber has clearly had enough of the rumours of ‘meth abuse’ flying around in relation to his appearance lately.
The Yummy singer took to Instagram to finally reveal what he’s really been battling saying, “While a lot of people kept saying Justin Bieber looks like shit, on meth etc. they failed to realize I’ve been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my, skin, brain function, energy, and overall health.”
Like Bieber, his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez also battled Lyme disease in the past. Supermodel Bella Hadid has also fought this dreaded disease.
Justin promised to give fans more details on his ongoing battle saying, “These things will be explained further in a docu-series I’m putting on YouTube shortly.. you can learn all that I’ve been battling and OVERCOMING!! It’s been a rough couple years but getting the right treatment that will help treat this so far incurable disease and I will be back and better than ever NO CAP”
The rumours were first started when the Despacito hitmaker was spotted with an IV hanging out of his bandaged arm back in September. Bieber’s multiple visits to a doctor in Beverly Hills also unintentionally kept the rumour mill going. Fans are glad JB finally gave clarity on his situation as they were worried about his health.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Lyme disease is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected black-legged ticks. The symptoms include headache and fatigue. If left untreated, the infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system.”
