Currently winning the love and hearts of his fans and audiences through his charming portrayal in the series, Joshua Bassett finally comes out as queer in latest interview.
In his recent interview off late with a leading digital global entertainment website, when he got asked about Harry Styles, that was the moment when Joshua Bassett finally comes out as queer in latest interview.
Heaping loads of praises on the Hollywood singer in this recent interview, Joshua was quoted saying, “I think he’s a nice guy, doesn’t say too much, but when he talks, it matters. He’s just cool. Who doesn’t think Harry Styles is cool? Also, he’s hot, you know? He’s very charming too. Lots of things. This is also my coming out video, I guess”.
This moment actually caught attention of netizens who weren’t really sure and confident but still had suspicions that is he really giving himself a label but in his new social media note posted on his official twitter handle, speaking up in details about his experiences whilst growing up, Joshua said, “My entire life people have told me my sexuality. People have shamed me for things they know nothing about. I want to say thank you to those of you who stand for love and acceptance. Toxicity, hatred, and negativity say less about the subject, but say far more about those who spew it”.
Furthermore, he continuing also added, “It’s 2021. We are the generation of love & growth, it’s time we start acting like it. Whether you love me, hate me, or damn me to hell, I love you all the same. Love who you love shamelessly. It’s ok to still be figuring out who you are. Life’s too short to let ignorance and hatred win. I choose love”, and he ended his message with a rainbow of heart emojis.
The musician and star has also been under intense public radar and media scrutiny due to his previous relationship with co-star Olivia Rodrigo whose songs Driver’s License and Déjà vu are clearly said to be all about their former dating life and addressing the same potential love triangle between him, Olivia and Sabrina Carpenter in an earlier interview even made its way to SNL and reacting to the immense buzz around it on Saturday Night Live, Joshua had said, “I get it. I get why people are asking about that stuff — but it doesn’t really get to me. It’s kind of amusing at this point. Even like the SNL stuff, that’s hilarious to me. People were so worried about me — and I’m like, dude, I’m honored that SNL is making fun of me”.
