Johnny Depp Signs 7-Figure Deal To Be The Face Of Dior Again

Dior has consistently stood by Johnny Depp throughout his legal issues. After winning, he allegedly agreed to a sizable cash contract to continue being the face of the business Sauvage perfume.

After beating his ex-wife Amber Heard, 36, in their defamation case, Johnny Depp, 59, has achieved yet another significant victory. According to TMZ, the Pirates of the Caribbean star has agreed to a multi-year contract with Dior that would keep him as the spokesperson for the renowned Sauvage fragrance. The transaction apparently has a seven-figure value. Since 2017, Johnny has collaborated with Dior.

Johnny said, “Fearless yet human, just like Sauvage,” in one of his posts. Many of his supporters praised Dior in the comments area for keeping up their commercial partnership with Johnny. “Love your support for Johnny,” one fan said, while another wrote, “Dior supporting legends.” Since Johnny has been advertising Dior’s Sauvage for more than five years, the perfume has become one of the best-selling products worldwide.

The collaboration sparked controversy in 2019 when Johnny appeared in a perfume commercial with Native American imagery. Due to his participation in the contentious advertisement, Johnny received criticism and Dior was charged with cultural appropriation. Nevertheless, Johnny and Dior have maintained a fruitful working partnership throughout the years.

Even when Johnny lost his 2020 UK libel lawsuit against The Sun, which he sued for calling him a “wife beater,” the French corporation sided with him. Additionally, Dior never reneged on its agreement with Johnny when he was competing against Amber in their successful slander lawsuit. Amber won $2 million in her countersuit against her ex-spouse while he received $15 million. However, both actors have submitted an appeal of the judgments they lost in court.

Since the verdict on June 1, Johnny has been extremely busy composing songs and performing live. He has a summer 2019 tour planned with his band, the Hollywood Vampires. Moreover, Johnny is now shooting Jeanne du Barr in Paris. He will portray Louis XV, the French king of the eighteenth century, in the unreleased film, which is currently in pre-production. Overall, Johnny is having a good time and is grateful for the support of his fans.
