Plot of The Last Duel – The Last Duel is a historical period drama film that’s a novel to series adaptation totally inspired and based on book of the same name, The Last Duel: A True Story of Trial by Combat in Medieval France written by Eric Jager. As the title suggests, it’s based on a factually real and legit true story. The film has been directed by Ridley Scott, who’s behind classics like Thelma & Louise and Blade Runner.

In the official film trailer of The Last Duel, we see how its set in the 14th century France the trailer starts from the scene wherein Marguerite de Thibouville (Jodie Comer) says she’s been raped by her husband’s best friend. Then a trial by combat takes place in between knight Jean de Carrouges and squire Jacques Le Gris who are both the husband and the accused party.
