Jessica Henwick feels that the director Lana Wachowski will once again bring a change in Hollywood with Matrix 4. The fourth part in the sci-fi action series, which started in 1999 with The Matrix, will see franchise stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss returning as Neo and Trinity.
Lana, who originally shaped the franchise with her sister Lilly, is also helming the fourth instalment. Jessica, who previously worked in shows such as Luke Cage and The Defenders, will be seen in the latest Matrix film alongside Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff and Priyanka Chopra.
During an recent interview Jessica Henwick said that Lana Wachowski is developing a never-seen-before ground-breaking style for Matrix 4.
“There are definitely moment on set where Yahya and I look at each other and we just go, Matrix 4. Those pinch me moments. Lana is doing some really interesting things on a technical level in the same way that you know, she created a style back then. I think she’s going to change the industry again with this film. There’s some camera rigs that I’ve never seen before that we’re using. That’s probably all I can say for that.”
On the work front, Henwick will be seen opposite Dylan O’Brien in Love and Monsters, which is directed by Michael Matthews. Meanwhile, Matrix 4 is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2021.
