Jennifer Lopez Turns Heads In Sheer Gown At ‘Halftime’ Premiere: See Pics

Jennifer Lopez's upcoming documentary, Halftime, focuses on Lopez's decades-long career in the industry, including her highs and lows.

Jennifer Lopez never fails to stun fans with her looks and this time the actress sets the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival red carpet on fire in a gorgeous black sheer dress. The Marry Me actress attended the premiere of her upcoming documentary, Halftime, at the film festival, wearing a curve-hugging black velvet and sheer floor-length gown.

Lopez accessorized her dress with a pair of silver dangling earrings and a black clutch. The singer and actress shared the stunning look with her Instagram followers, offering a side angle of the ensemble. Alongside the photo, Lopez wrote in the caption, “#Halftime Premiere @Netflix# TribecaFilmFestival #Tribeca,” while adding red and black emoticons.

JLo’s upcoming documentary, Halftime, focuses on Lopez’s decades-long career in the industry, with a focus on her Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show performance. Back in April, the festival shared in a news release that “Halftime serves as the kickoff to the second half of Lopez’s life, as she lays bare her evolution as a Latina, a mother, and an artist, taking agency in her career and using her voice for a greater purpose.”

Meanwhile, the trailer for the forthcoming documentary highlights several of the struggles JLo faced throughout her career, including her fight to be taken seriously as an artist in Hollywood and the judgment she received from the public and the media early on. Lopez recalled being called ‘diva’ and ‘serial bride’ in the sneak peek. “I really believed what they said,” she said in the trailer. Jennifer Lopez also revealed she grappled with her self-confidence. The actress explained, “It was hard. I just had very low self-esteem.”

Along with some of the harder moments, the movie shines a light on her successes, including her 2020 Super Bowl performance alongside Shakira and her critically acclaimed performance in Hustlers. However, the synopsis (as per IMDb) of Halftime reads, “An intimate look at Jennifer Lopez as she reflects on her milestones and evolution as an artist, and navigates the second half of her career continuing to entertain, empower and inspire.” The upcoming documentary of Jennifer Lopez, Halftime, is slated to release on Netflix on June 14.
