Jennifer Lopez Had Horrifying Experience While Filming ‘Shotgun Wedding’

Jennifer Lopez revealed that Duhamel, who was on the scene with Lopez, came to rescue and saved her from the fall.

Jennifer Lopez’s new film, Shotgun Wedding recently released on Amazon Prime Video. And the actress recently revealed a very terrifying situation that occurred while filming Shotgun Wedding in the Dominican Republic. While promoting her latest rom-com with six of her co-stars, including onscreen love interest Josh Duhamel, Lopez admitted to having a near-death experience when she nearly went over a cliff.

However, the actress further revealed that Duhamel, who was in the scene with Lopez, came to rescue and saved her from the fall. Explaining her story, JLo revealed the freak accident that happened ‘when my dress gets caught in the wheel’ during one pivotal scene. The actress shared, “I was going over! And I’m looking at Josh, and I’m like, ‘Josh, don’t let me go, please.'” Lopez then recalled, “He’s like, ‘I got you. You go we go.'” Lopez then admitted that luckily, they both made it through, adding ‘it was scary.’

Meanwhile, during an another promotional interview by himself, Duhamel also revealed his near-death incident of while a shoot break in the Dominican Republic. The actor shared during a previous interview with Access Hollywood, “I had some time off. There was this cove near where we were shooting and the waves were just like amazing, crashing up against the cliffs.” The actor added to the outlet, “I wanted to go get a video and a rogue wave comes in and almost takes me out over the cliff.”

However, Duhamel thinks that the jagged rocks in the area where he was at the time held him ‘from going into the water’ and ultimately over the cliff. “I figured I was completely safe and all of a sudden bam,” he explained to the outlet, while using his hands to describe the impact on his face.

Shotgun Wedding also stars Sônia Braga, Jennifer Coolidge, Lenny Kravitz, Cheech Marin and D’Arcy Carden, among others. The rom-com film follows Darcy and Tom who are about to get married on an island. Everything is done; the arrangements, dress, and guests. However, on the day of the wedding, the whole family and guests are captivated and everything is spoiled. Darcy and Tom somehow escape and now they have to rescue everybody along with their beautiful day.
