Filmmaker James Gunn and actress Jennifer Holland exchanged vows at an intimate ceremony. James took to his Instagram and shared photos from their wedding. Alongside the snaps, the filmmaker revealed that there was a Marvel vs DC softball game as part of the wedding festivities.
James looks dapper in a green suit while Jennifer slays in a floral white gown. One of the pics shows the couple’s first kiss as husband and wife, followed by a video from their intimate wedding ceremony. Gunn also shared some solo pictures of the two, offering a close look at their wedding outfit.
Alongside the loved-up photos, the filmmaker penned, “After over 7 years together, I finally married the love of my life, @jenniferlholland. What an incredible, beautiful, stunning day surrounded by the most wonderful family and friends in the world. And, yes, that’s a moose that showed up as the ceremony began!”
James continues the caption noting, “And also, yes, @originalfunko made our wedding cake toppers designed on our actual tux and gown (Jenn wouldn’t let me see them before the wedding because her dress was too perfectly done!) And, yes, we had Sunday fun festivities including a Marvel vs DC softball game (@michael_rooker played on both teams!)”
James also shared a group photo with Guardian Of Galaxy, Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad cast members. In the caption, he penned, “Being joined at our wedding by our #GotG, #TheSuicideSquad & #Peacemaker families made things that much sweeter. All photos by the great @jonnymarlow!”
The Marvel and DC director James Gunn popped the question to his longtime partner Jennifer Holland this year in February. The filmmaker has been dating the Peacemaker actress since 2015 and the couple are now preparing to spend the rest of their lives together. It was reported that James and Jennifer met through mutual friend Michael Rosenbaum. At the time the Smallville actor was dating one of Jennifer’s friends.
Since beginning dating, James has used his partner for the role of Emilia Harcourt in The Suicide Squad, a character she reprised in the new Peacemaker series for HBO Max. However, it will mark James’ second marriage as he had previously been wed to The Office’s Jenna Fisher. The couple were married between October 2000 and September 2007 before going their separate ways.
