James Gunn Debunks THIS Major Rumor About Henry Cavill’s DC Return

James Gunn debunks rumor that Henry Cavill is playing Frankenstein in DCU

DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn set the record straight about those new Henry Cavill rumors about his potential return to DC. The rumor was about former Superman actor Henry Cavill being approached to play Frankenstein in the upcoming Creature Commandos series.

When asked about how true the rumor was, Gunn quickly jumped to Twitter to shut it down, stating it’s “completely false” and that DC already has the actor for Frankenstein set.

Another Twitter user suggested that Gunn’s response came off as “hate towards Cavill.” The director responded by saying that the rumor was all over various news sites and he was just answering the question asked of him. He made it clear that while Superman and now Frankenstein is not on the cards for Henry, another role could be.

The DC Universe’s first phase, called Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, will feature a multitude of different movies and television shows. Most of these tv shows and movies haven’t begun filming yet. However, one project that has come a long way is Creature Commandos, an upcoming HBO Max show with Gunn as the writer.
