Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato are not the ones to hold grudges for too long, as like the rest of the celebs celebrating the Labor Day weekend in the US, Demi too is seen making most of her extended holiday. Demi took to her social media and gave fans a peek of her celebrations and shared her “jam,” which happened to be Taylor Swift’s hit song “Cruel Summer” from her newly released album, Lover. And though the two haven’t always been on good terms, Demi took to her Instagram to appreciate Taylor’s new music.
Demi on her Instagram story wrote, “Life’s too short for women to not support other women,” and also added a heart, praise hands and clapping hands emojis. She further wrote, “Especially when women release great music. Great job @taylorswift.”
As Demi extended an olive branch, Taylor is not the one to turn it down. She re-posted Demi’s appreciation on her IG and also revealed how Demi’s love for her song made her smile. She wrote, “This is so awesome & put the biggest smile on my face. Thank you @ddlovato.”
Demi who didn’t attend the VMAs raised eyebrows, and netizens were quick to slam Demi as they accused her of throwing shade at Taylor, who took home a few awards. But Demi quickly cleared up the misunderstanding as she said that she wasn’t throwing shade at anyone including Taylor. She wrote, “Btw… I didn’t ‘shade’ anyone last night. My REASON for not going is because I’m literally living my dream being on Will & Grace rn so stop reaching.”
