The 2025 Grammy Nominations have just been revealed and while there’s plenty of excitement, some other big artists are feeling left out. Iconic musicians like Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and newer stars like Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter are leading the way with multiple nominations. However, some of the year’s biggest hits are missing from the list. Let’s take a closer look at the artists who got nominated and the ones who didn’t make the cut.
Big Hits, No Nominations: The Major Snubs
Some top artists, despite groundbreaking releases were left off the nominations list. Pop superstar Nicki Minaj saw no nominations this year, even though her album Pink Friday 2 recently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking her as the female rapper with the most No. 1 albums in history. Similarly Jungkook, the K-pop sensation from BTS, was snubbed despite his album Golden breaking multiple records and achieving the fastest-selling K-pop solo album in the U.S.
Dua Lipa also missed out on nominations. Her album Radical Optimism marked her highest debut to date, producing dance hits like Houdini and Illusion that topped charts. Many were surprised to see her name missing from the Grammy Nominations 2025 list. Additionally, Ariana Grande faced a major snub. Her album Eternal Sunshine wasn’t selected for Album of the Year or any pop categories, including her hit single ‘We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)’.
Aside from these pop giants, other artists experienced snubs despite impressive chart performances. Megan Thee Stallion, who made history with her single HISS reaching No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global 200, received no Grammy nods this year. Hozier, whose song Too Sweet became his first-ever No. 1 hit, was also absent from the list.
