Wild ‘FRIENDS’ Fan Theories That Suggest A Different Ending

These fan theories are so wild, that they're capable of ruining your childhood memories associated with them. Read to know if you ever thought of these interpretations.

It was almost a decade ago, when the iconic show, that rose to popularity across the globe, bid farewell to the viewers. but fans across the world, have reimagined the ending of the finale episode, that’s currently blowing everyone’s mind. some have even admitted to finding this ending of the show much ‘darker’ than the original one, which left everyone teary-eyed.

A new Twitter handle, who also turns out to be an admirer of the show, gave out the super weird ending to the show. According to him, all friends of the character, whoever existed on the show, we’re never actually a part of the show and were imaginations of characters played by Lisa Kudrow (Pheobe). “All 10 seasons were merely her fevered imagination, projecting herself into the lives of the others. All she ever wanted was … Friends.” he further goes on to say, making it absurdly dark for other viewers, who only have beloved memories of the show.

He further elaborates the same theory for others to get a complete understanding of his hypothesis, “I’d have ended Friends by revealing it was all the meth-addled fantasy of a homeless Phoebe as she stared through the window of Central Perk. Each kooky aside, each time she made everything about her, each example of how she’s an outsider….it all makes sense. All 10 seasons were merely her fevered imagination, projecting herself into the lives of the others. All she ever wanted was…Friends. The final scene would be Phoebe walking away from Central Perk, with the Ross, Rachel, Joey, Chandler and Monica characters making a reference to “the crazy lady who always stares at us.” They all have different names and personalities.

Phoebe walks past a furniture store and catches her reflection in a mirror. The name of the store? “Ursula.”Finally, she returns to the park where she sleeps in front of the fountain. A broken lamp stands next to her bench. It starts to rain. From behind, we see her put up six dirty, but brightly coloured umbrellas. Fade to black.”

If this wasn’t enough to blow your mind, another user commented similar theory and gave another twist to the show. He believes that Matt LeBlanc, who essays the famous character of Joey, isn’t all that dumb that he pretends to be. In fact, he believes Joey, was actually way smarter than his friends thought. But why did he act dumb though? in order to manipulate his friends and get whatever he wanted.
