Florence Pugh Reveals She’s Been ‘Blocked’ From Posting About Her Role In Hawkeye

Florence Pugh confirmed that she will return to Hawkeye as her Black Widow character Yelena Belova last year.

The latest episode of Hawkeye has been aired on Wednesday. And Florence Pugh is finally returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Yelena Belova. However, it seems like someone is upset about her posting about her appearance on the most speculated episode.

Over a year ago, the 25-year-old actress confirmed that she will return to Hawkeye as her Black Widow character Yelena Belova, who was seen in the Black Widow post-credits scene learning that Hawkeye played by Jeremy Renner, was responsible for Black Widow’s death. Pugh has recently shared two photos, one of her character, who had only been seen with a mask on in the first three episodes from behind, and another of her unmasked. She simply captioned the shots, “She’s here.”

However, after posting the snaps, she took to her Instagram story to reveal she has been ‘blocked’ from posting more Hawkeye images, though that original post is still up, as are other photos and videos on her Instagram story. Pugh begins her note, “I never thought me posting about a show in which I appear on would get taken down… but here we are.” “Someone on here complained so I’ve been blocked from posting my own appearance on a show that I’m very much in,” she added.

Black Widow actress concluded while writing, “Beyond ridiculous. Being in #Hawkeye is a privilege and thank you to all who welcomed me on set and off all who are watching.” Meanwhile, it’s unclear what post was ‘taken down,’ since her original post from Wednesday afternoon is still on her Instagram.

Florence Pugh made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in this summer’s Black Widow, which is set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Her character Yelena Belova was a ‘sisterly’ figure to Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff, who both trained together in the secretive Red Room program. The movie also features a post-credit sequence where Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) approaches Yelena at Natasha’s funeral.
