Florence Pugh Addresses Her And Harry Styles’ Steamy ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Scenes

Florence Pugh wasn't the only star of the upcoming movie, Don't Worry Darling, who spoke out about filming intimate scenes.

Florence Pugh, who starred as Alice in the upcoming film, recently addressed ongoing buzz about her and Harry Styles’ steamy scenes in Don’t Worry Darling. In a recent interview, the actress shared that she was not a fan of the media storm that centred around the project after the official trailer showed intimate moments between her and Harry Styles, who starred as her husband, Jack.

Pugh stated, “When it’s reduced to your intimate scenes, or to watch the most famous man in the world go down on someone, it’s not why we do it. It’s not why I’m in this industry. Obviously, the nature of hiring the most famous pop star in the world, you’re going to have conversations like that.” She continued, “That’s just not what I’m going to be discussing because [this movie is] bigger and better than that. And the people who made it are bigger and better than that.”

Meanwhile, Pugh, who recently confirmed that she and boyfriend Zach Braff split earlier this year after three years of dating, wasn’t the only star of the upcoming movie who spoke out about filming intimate scenes. Previously, Styles shared that he wasn’t actually naked in the upcoming psychological thriller. Don’t Worry Darling also stars Wilde, Chris Pine, KiKi Layne, Gemma Chan and Nick Kroll. The upcoming psychological thriller film is scheduled to premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September and will hit theaters on September 23.

Meanwhile, an official synopsis for Don’t Worry Darling reads, “Life is perfect, with every resident’s needs met by the company. All they ask in return is unquestioning commitment to the Victory cause. But when cracks in their idyllic life begin to appear, exposing flashes of something much more sinister lurking beneath the attractive façade, Alice can’t help questioning what they’re doing in Victory, and why.”

The synopsis continues, “Just how much is Alice willing to lose to expose what’s really going on in paradise?” The psychological thriller is 38-year-old Wilde’s second feature film after 2019’s Booksmart; it draws influence from other not-what-they-seem movies, including The Truman Show, The Matrix and Inception, Wilde previously said.
