The Black Widow actress recently talked about her infamous legal dispute with Disney and how it affected her. The “Black Widow” actress expressed her “sadness and disappointment” about the charges made against her by the massive studio.
Johansson sued Disney, claiming that the simultaneous distribution violated the terms of her contract, which stated that the movie would only be shown in theatres. Additionally, she claimed that it barred her from receiving any additional bonus money from box office sales.
The pandemic’s “horrific and prolonged” impacts were described as her lawsuit’s main target by Disney, which also disclosed her $20 million income. They settled their disagreement in September of that same year without disclosing the specifics.
Johansson recalls Disney’s aggressive response to her lawsuit; she said she was sad and disappointed. For her, it was such a surreal moment because we were isolated and just sort of emerging a little bit. She said she was also really heavily pregnant, which, in a weird way, was amazing timing.
She further added that, suddenly, your entire attention is drawn to this miracle of life. So, she had the most wonderful distraction in the world, and soon after, she had a beautiful baby.
