On Thursday, Katy Perry, 35, revealed her new album “Daisies” and posted a look at the track’s artwork, in which the singer basks in a field of flowers. Perry’s first single from the forthcoming fifth studio album, “Daisies,” is set to go down on May 15.“The music must go on,” she wrote on Instagram.
Later the same day, 30-year-old Swift shared a stunning selfie while sipping wine at home on her sofa, dressed in a floral sweater — specifically, “Bali Daisy Jane Collection”.
Given Swift’s tendency to drop hints before dropping new music or videos, Swift fans immediately began speculating on a potential team-up with Perry, with many pointing out that this week marks the pair’s the two-year anniversary of a reunion following their long feud.
Another asked, “What if it’s a song @taylorswift13 WROTE for @katyperry?!”
“The official” American Idol “Twitter account quickly added value to the discussion, adding a reference to Swift’s album” 1989 “into the forthcoming release of Perry by tweeting, “We can’t wait to play this like 1,989 times in a row. #DAISIES #KP5 #IdolOnSunday.”
Perry and Swift last teamed up in June 2019 for the latter’s music video, “You Need to Calm Down,” dressing up as fast food to mark their rekindled friendship.
