It was a grieving evening for Harry Potter fans on September 27th, Friday as beloved actresss Dame Maggie Smith passed away at 89. The British actress was known for her iconic role in Harry Potter as Minerva McGonagall. While several actors, king of UK, and fans mourned the death, fans have observed a unique connection between Smith and the late actor Michael Gambon’s death.

The Harry Potter community noticed that both, Dame and Gambon died on the same day in different years leaving behind an ache in their hearts. Gambon who was known for his role as Prof. Albus Dumbledore, passed last year on 27th September, at the age of 82. The actor’s demise disappointed many fans all over the world. This year, the same day marked Smith’s demise, which was not only saddening for the community but also a surprising co-incidence. Fans were too quick to notice as the day marked Dumbledore’s second death-anniversary, which later turned to another demise from the Harry Potter’s powerful caste.
Taking it to their social media, fans have swarmed the internet with heartfelt comments on how the gang has reunited in heaven and what an unexpected twist of event led to the two of the biggest actors of Harry Potter series die on the same day. A user wrote, “What a legacy she leaves,”. Another tweeted hinting towards the sad co-incidence as, “Us Harry Potter fans are once again mourning, RIP Maggie Smith,”
