We Are Done Waiting! Fans Outrages Over Rumors Of YG Delaying BLACKPINK’S Comeback

YG Entertainment faces backlash as BLINKs took to Twitter to trend 'We Want BLACKPINK comeback now.'

It’s been almost two years when the girl group song Ice Cream in collaboration with Selena Gomez was released, and since then there is no new group music on the cards right now. And now BLINKs are done waiting and just can’t wait more!

BLINKs are making their voices heard. On January 11, BLINKs took to Twitter to trend “We Want BLACKPINK comeback now.” BLACKPINKCOMEBACKNOW along with #STOPDELAYINGBLACKPINK trended worldwide on Twitter with more than 300,000 tweets globally. Previously, BlackPink member Jisoo had confirmed BLACKPINK’s comeback as she posted on Weverse that the group will release new music soon and fans must wait a little longer.

However, fans are worried because BLACKPINK members are serving the last year of their exclusive contract with YG Entertainment, and there is no confirmation of the renewal of the contract as yet. Moreover, BLACKPINK’s members are currently busy with their individual projects and collaborations and the group has not released any new music together since the release of their first studio album ‘THE ALBUM’ in 2020.

BlackPink’s Fans are also concerned because YG Entertainment announced new BLACKPINK merchandise instead of an album, BlackPink DVD, and Blue-ray for ‘THE MOVIE’ that will be released on March 25. However, BlackPink’s Lisa recently became the most successful female K-pop musician ever on the Pop Airplay chart, Billboard’s ranking of the songs that reach the largest audience on pop radio in America.
