The 30-year-old pop star made a surprise appearance at the O2 Brixton NME Awards, and was spotted in the intimate moment and was caught grabbing Joe’s face to go in for a big kiss.
For the first time, Taylor attended the awards ceremony and fans were excited to see her in person to pick up’ Best Solo Act In The World.’
The pop star made a statement in a £ 1,500 Monse pinstripe blazer and matching shorts on the red carpet. It was her actions inside the venue that captured the most attention after holding Joe’s head and kissing him that contrasted with their hidden relationship.
Taylor celebrated the award beating Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, FKA twigs, Charli XCX, Yungblud, Beck, AJ Tracey, and Slowthai, and she was in a happy mood when the gong was collected
During her acceptance speech, she was seen teasing the crowd of being so boring before revealing she was just jesting with them.
Taylor stated “This is my first time at the NME Awards, and like, I just feel like everyone here is so shy, so reserved
“Are you guys having any fun tonight? Are you going to come out of your shells at all?”
Taylor then said “Oh, wait no. This is like the craziest award show I’ve ever been to.”
This was her second win at the NME Awards, but she accepted her statuette for Best International Solo Artist via video last time in 2016. She was speculated to have begun dating Joe in May 2017, but the relationship was kept so secret that when they became official it is difficult to know.
A kiss at the awards might be the indication that with the affection they will be more public. Taylor has also heralded Joe for providing her with a “wonderful, normal, balanced kind of life,” when she spoke at the Golden Globes in January about her relationship.
