Kanye West’s new girlfriend, Julia Fox has recently shared her side of the story about the latest swirling rumors regarding her having dated Drake. The 32-year-old actress set the record straight during an episode of her podcast, Forbidden Fruits, and said the two were simply friends, calling the Canadian rapper, a ‘gentleman.’
Addressing the dating rumors, Julia Fox said, “Nothing really happened. We were just, like, friends hanging out… Yeah, like I wouldn’t say that we were dating,’ she revealed.” “He’s a great guy and a gentleman and that was it,” the model said to co-host Niki Takesh. She also added, “I feel like they’ve squashed their issues,” referring to the longstanding feud between the two musicians.
The Uncut Gems star also revealed that she told Kanye of her association with Drake right away, knowing the rocky history between the two. “Obviously when I first started speaking to Ye, like on the phone, I told him, like, immediately, like I think on the first day before it went any further because I’m just an honest person, I guess.” However, Julia appeared to want to leave the friendship in the past, saying, “That was fully 2020, like, two years ago.”

The rumors of Fox secretly dating West’s nemesis after splitting from ex-husband Peter Artemiev first began swirling last week. It was reported that the God’s Plan hitmaker slid into her Instagram DMs to praise her performance in Adam Sandler’s Uncut Gems, released in December 2019. However, Fox was still with Artemiev at the time, but after they broke up “she got back in touch with Drake on the social media app,” according to a source who spoke with Page Six.
During their short-lived romance in early 2020, Drake reportedly ‘showered her with gifts including two Birkin bags’ around Valentine’s Day and they shared drinks at the Bowery Hotel. After the news came out, the Donda rapper was reportedly not pleased, as he previously weathered similar rumors concerning his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her association with Drake.
