Emma Watson Reveals Why Stepped Away From Hollywood

Emma Watson needs no introduction. Watson rose to fame for her performance as Hermione Granger in the ‘Harry Potter film from 2001 to 2011 and also for her several films and TV projects. Her fans are eagerly waiting for her onscreen.

As we can notice, the actress was last seen in “Little Women’, released in 2019, after which she has not signed any projects. She was absent for a long time until we saw her appearance in Harry Potter’s 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, which was released on January 1, 2022, by HBO Max.

Now the actress reveals why she stepped away from Hollywood and states that the industry had started to make her feel caged.

“If I’m being completely honest, I wasn’t very happy,” she said. “I believe I felt rather restricted.

According to Watson, it can be challenging to watch a movie while being questioned by a reporter about how well it supports her point of view. It was incredibly challenging to serve as the public face and spokesperson for events that I was not able to participate in, she stated.

Emma Watson expressed her dissatisfaction with her inability to express her opinions in many circumstances. She expressed the desire to work in an environment where her viewpoint would be valued and not disregarded.

Recently, Emma returned to social media after a long time and shared a series of posts letting her fans know what she had been up to during her downtime.
