Emma Roberts Will Star Alongside Dakota Johnson In Spider-Man Spin-off ‘Madame Web’

Madame Web will just be the latest in a string of Spider-Man spin-off movies that include, Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Morbius.

Emma Roberts has officially joined the cast of Madame Web, as reported by Deadline. The actress joins the star-studded cast that includes 50 Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson and Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney. Isabel Merced of Dora and the Lost City of Gold fame, The Serpent actor Tahir Rahim and The In Between star Celeste O’Connor will also appear in the highly anticipated movie.

Television director S.J. Clarkson is set to direct the Spider-Man spin-off film. Madame Web is a clairvoyant mutant who can see the future of superheroes with spider themes. Dakota Johnson will play the titular character who usually appears as a blind and paralyzed woman hooked up to a complex series of machines to stay alive.

Madame Web will just be the latest in a string of Spider-Man spin-off movies that include, Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Morbius. While Roberts will soon start filming the superhero movie, she has a number of other projects on the way as well. Roberts already finished filming her film Maybe I Do, a film co-starring a number of legendary actors like Richard Gere, Diane Keaton and Susan Sarandon.

Emma Roberts’ movies Saurus City and About Fate are currently in post-production. She will also start filming the movie Returns soon, a story centred on a woman who returns to her home after 12 years but is quickly haunted by her past. Roberts will star opposite The Fighter actress Melissa Leo. Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson’s starring movie, Cha Cha Real Smooth, debuted on Apple TV+ on June 17.
