Emma Corrin who rose to fame with her performance in a show ‘The Crown’ is set to join the cast of Deadpool 3. Reynolds announced this news on Twitter, welcoming Corrin to his Deadpool family.
Sharing the news on Twitter, he wrote, “New addition to the family! The Deadpool family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin!”.
News portal Deadline further added that Emma will play the villain in the film. Emma won the Golden Globe and Critics Choice awards as well SAG and Emmy nominations for her performance as the younger Lady Diana Spencer, in The Crown’s fourth season. She also just joined the new version of Nosferatu, along with also being part of Amazon drama My Policeman which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.
Deadpool 3, which also marks the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, is set to hit theatres on Sep 6, 2024. For the unversed, Deadpool 3 will be the first Deadpool movie to be part of the MCU. Shawn Levy, who directed Reynolds in Free Guy (2021) and The Adam Project (2022), is taking over filmmaking duties for the third part.
