Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling team up for a new movie! Jungle Cruise actress and The Gray Man actor will star alongside one another in the upcoming movie The Fall Guy, according to a Universal Pictures press release. The press release also revealed The Fall Guy’s release date, that is, March 1, 2024.
The upcoming movie The Fall Guy is being directed and produced by Bullet Train and Deadpool 2’s David Leitch. Also on the producing side are Ryan, Kelly McCormick (Bullet Train) and Guymon Casady (Game of Thrones). While the plot details are kept under wraps, the flick is inspired by the ABC TV series of the same title. The upcoming movie is executive produced by Drew Pearce, Geoff Shaevitz and the creator of The Fall Guy television show, Glen A. Larson, as per the release.
The 1980s series, which boasted five seasons, follows the character of Colt Seavers, originally played by Lee Majors. According to the show’s description on Apple TV+, Colt is a Hollywood stuntman who sometimes works as a bounty hunter for extra cash. The character is joined by his cousin Howie who “knows a little bit about everything and not enough about anything” and Jody who is “a stunningly beautiful stuntwoman.”
The trio are teased to use their stuntman tricks in order to catch the criminals, according to E! Online. Ryan Gosling’s recent credit includes the Netflix hit movie, The Gray Man. The movie cast also includes Chris Evans, Dhanush, and Ana De Armas. The Gray Man follows a CIA operative Court Gentry played by Ryan Gosling who is plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy, played by Billy Bob Thornton.
Meanwhile, Emily Blunt will star alongside Robert Downey Jr., Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh and Matt Damon in the upcoming movie, Oppenheimer. The upcoming movie plot follows a Physicist J Robert Oppenheimer works with a team of scientists during the Manhattan Project, leading to the development of the atomic bomb. Oppenheimer is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 21, 2023.
