Recently, Ed Sheeran talked about his wife, Cherry Seaborn, was diagnosed with a tumor during her sixth month of pregnancy. The English singer-songwriter has revealed the struggles he faced after learning of his wife’s diagnosis and also shared his feelings of helplessness upon hearing the devasting news.
Despite their flaws, the couple stayed strong, and in 2022, they were blessed with their daughter, Jupiter Seaborn Sheeran. The birth of their daughter has brought much-needed joy and hope during a time of severe difficulty.
Ed talked openly about the challenging time he went through after learning that Cherry Seaborn had a tumor, adding that he had previously been struggling with the deaths of several close friends. He said, “There’s nothing you can do about it, you are completely helpless.”
According to Rolling Stone, the couple was first informed that the tumor couldn’t be removed until after she gave birth, which forced them to consider the option of having their baby girl earlier than expected. Nevertheless, the pair maintained their resolve, and Cherry was able to deliver Jupiter and successfully complete her pregnancy. Only hours after his baby was born, Sheeran learned of the “successful surgery” when he was onstage at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Last year, Ed was open about his mental health issues and revealed that he occasionally felt like he didn’t want to live. He added, “And I have had that throughout my life…. You are drowning beneath the waves. You merely sort of exist within this. And there is no way out.
