Hobbs & Shaw killed gravity with Fast and furious spin-off. Happily, it conquered it worldwide at the box office, too. And no wonder a sequel is already in the developmental stage for the film. Two of the greatest action heroes, Jason Statham and Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson were featured in the movie at loggerheads with one another.
Vanessa Kirby also got off to a terrific role. Now as announced by Johnson they are already continuing to work on the sequel. The actor talked to ScreenRant on a live Instagram while isolating himself socially at home.
“We are developing now the next film, the next [Hobbs & Shaw] movie, and I’m pretty excited about it…Just gotta figure out the creative right now, and the direction we’re going to go,” Johnson wrote. Great isnt it!
Information about Hobbs & Shaw sequel are scant, but this news straight from the mouth of the horse is enough to captivate the physics-defying film fans. Most of those fans are in India as the first part of the film earned over Rs 53 Crore in the country’s first week of release. Despite doing no miracles at the US box office, the film has performed marvelously at the global box office.
With his genetically enhanced antagonist, played by Idris Elba, Hobbs, and Shaw propelled Fast and Furious series deeper into the Sci-Fi territory. Elba and his wife tested positive for COVID-19 in other news reports. We wish them a quick recovery. The pandemic has also delayed Fast and Furious 9’s release by an entire year.
