Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Finally Releasing On OTT On THIS Day!

Disney+ has recently shared Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness OTT release date, June 22.

Doctor Strange 2 crosses new box-office milestones and Disney+ Hotstar has recently revealed its OTT release date. The latest instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues the story threads from Loki season 1, Spider-Man: No Way Home and WandaVision as Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff has become corrupted by the Darkhold in her quest to be reunited with her children, Billy and Tommy.

Wanda sets off in pursuit of America Chavez to steal her powers to travel the multiverse, requiring Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange to step up and protect the young hero. Alongside Cumberbatch and Olsen, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cast also includes the MCU returns of Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg and Rachel McAdams as well as the MCU debuts of Xochitl Gomez as America, Patrick Stewart as a Professor X variant and Charlize Theron as Clea.

Directed by Sam Raimi and penned by Loki creator Michael Waldron, the movie has received generally positive reviews for Raimi’s direction, the performances of Cumberbatch, Olsen and Gomez and the mind-bending visual effects, though its inconsistent pacing has received criticism. Despite a major drop in its second weekend, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has mostly dominated at the box office.

However, the official Twitter account of Disney+ has shared Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness OTT release date. Alongside a short clip from the movie, the streaming platform wrote, “The Multiverse has been waiting for you. Marvel Studios’ #DoctorStrange in the Multiverse of Madness is streaming June 22 on #DisneyPlus.” Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness is set to premiere on the OTT platform in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu.

Doctor Strange 2 is the biggest hit post-pandemic. The Doctor Strange sequel recently crossed $400 million at the box office, making it one of 10 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to do so. Despite being kept from two major territories, China and Russia, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness saw immense success upon release. After just four days in theatres, the film broke the $500 million mark at the worldwide box office and quickly became the second-largest worldwide release for a film in post-pandemic, following Spider-Man: No Way Home.
