Dhanush is a well-known name in Tollywood and Bollywood. However, he is now all ready to make his international debut with the Russo Brothers’ upcoming movie, The Gray Man. During the post-screening press conference in Los Angeles, Dhanush revealed gushes about how he got the part in the film saying that he didn’t know how he ended up being part of The Gray Man.
The actor went on to add that he was super thrilled to learn and explore the opportunity. Though Dhanush has a small role in the film, he has a pivotal role. The actor starred as an assassin with hardly any dialogue. During the conference, when asked about being part of the project, and how he landed the opportunity, Dhanush shared, “I don’t know how I ended up in this film.’ Dhanush’s response got everyone in the room burst out into laughter, including his co-stars, Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling.
The actor further added, “I was thrilled and very excited. Of course, I don’t get to say much in the film. I was super thrilled and was looking for an opportunity to learn and explore.” Dhanush will star alongside Hollywood A-list stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas and Regé-Jean Page. Previously, The Gray Man directors, Joe and Anthony Russo spoke about Dhanush in a Twitter Spaces chat.
During the chat, the Eusso brothers shared, “We are big fans of him. We wrote the character keeping him in mind. You can expect a new film starring his character in the lead soon.” Previously, when Dhanus signed for The Gray Man, Dhanush had said in a statement read, “Elated to announce that I will be joining the team of Netflix’s The Gray Man starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, directed by The Russo Brothers (Avengers, Captain America: Winter Soldier). Looking forward to being a part of this wonderful action experience.”
The statement continues, “My sincere thanks to my dearest fans from all over the world for all the love and support you have been showing me throughout these years.” The upcoming Netflix movie, The Gray Man, follows the most skilled operative CIA whose true identity is known to none-accidentally uncovers dark agency secrets, a psychopathic former colleague puts a bounty on his head, setting off a global manhunt by international assassins. The Gray man will release on July 22.
