Demi Lovato ‘Comes Out’ To Her Parents:’It Was Really Beautiful’

Demi Lovato opens up about her journey to “self-discovery.”

The Stone Cold singer has revealed that she describes herself as “sexually fluid” as she got chatting with SiriusXM Radio Andy show’s host Andy Cohen on his on Thursday (Jan.30) and even opened up about her coming out story.

“I’m still figuring it out,” Demi said. “I didn’t officially tell my parents that I saw myself ending up possibly with a woman until 2017. It was actually emotional, but really beautiful. After everything was done, I was like shaking and crying. I just felt overwhelmed. I have such incredible parents. They were so supportive,” the songstress shared.

Demi revealed that her dad wasn’t surprised at all, but she was nervous about coming out to her mom. “My mom was the one that I was super nervous about,” Demi revealed. “But she was like, ‘I just want you to be happy.’ And that was so beautiful and amazing. I’m so grateful,” the Anyone singer shared.

After delivering a heartbreakingly beautiful performance of her vulnerable song Anyone (written by Demi a little before her overdose back in 2018) at the Grammy Awards 2020, that earned her a standing ovation, Demi is all set to perform the National Anthem on Sunday, February 2 at the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami.
