Since her split, she has shown a whole new side of herself which is also going to be revealed in her most awaited four part Youtube docu series titled “Dancing With The Devil” which will be premiering on 23rd March 2021, and in her latest globally renowned entertainment magazine cover shoot interview a few days back itself, she also shared about how the break up was also a huge sign for her on whom to date next.

Growing up in the world of spotlight and showbiz, Demi dated Wilmer Valderrama and Nick Jonas but also opened up about her sexual fluidity years into her career and four years back in 2017, she had tweeted, “Just because I’m refuse to label myself for the sake of a headline doesn’t mean I’m not going to stand up for what I believe in”.

In her documentary Simply Complicated, the singer talked about what many people gathered and took away from her song “Cool For The Summer” and told, “I am on the dating app [Raya] with both guys and girls; I’m open to human connection, so whether that’s through a male or female, that doesn’t matter to me”.

Talking about Demi and her ex fiancé Max Ehrich’s totally whirlwind and shortlived fairytale romance, in March 2020 last year, Demi started dating Max Ehrich who is an actor who also ended up moving into her house during the COVID 19 pandemic and then both got engaged in July 2020 and a few months after when Max confessed feelings for his fiancee’s  ex friend Selena Gomez, first she thought its fake but a few days later it became official that both broke their engagement and relationship with each other.

After that, Demi totally changed her entire hairdo and threw herself into making new music and also used this opportunity to examine and assess her ‘really queer’ sexuality and for her latest March 2021 globally renowned entertainment magazine cover shoot and story, Demi stated that her short locks are “a symbolic shedding of the heteronormative box she was confined in for years”.

Demi in the interview opening up on same, says, “When I started getting older, I started realizing how queer I really am. This past year I was engaged to a man, and when it didn’t work, I was like, ‘This is a huge sign.’ I thought I was going to spend my life with someone. Now that I wasn’t going to, I felt this sense of relief that I could live my truth”.

Currently, at the moment we know that Demi doesn’t really want to put a label on herself as she’s “waiting until a specific timeline”, but she is surely confident of what she wants to explore more right now which is not men and on this point, she exclaimed, “I hooked up with a girl and was like, ‘I like this a lot more,’ It felt better. It felt right”.

Demi also adding up about how she had an instant ‘visceral reaction’ to hooking up with guys, said, “It wasn’t even based on the person it was with. I just found myself really appreciating the friendships of those people more than the romance, and I didn’t want the romance from anybody of the opposite sex”.
