Dan Stevens Will Be Back In Next Monsterverse Film For ‘Godzilla x Kong’ Follow-Up?

Dan Stevens is in talks to reprise his role as Trapper in the upcoming Monsterverse sequel, following his fan-favourite performance in ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’. The next installment, directed by Grant Sputore has already confirmed Kaitlyn Dever as a new addition to the franchise. The script is written by Dave Callaham and while plot details remain undisclosed, the story will continue to explore both human characters and the legendary Titans – Godzilla x Kong – facing an unknown global treat.

Introduced in The New Empire, Stevens’ Trapper became an instant hit among fans. His role as a laidback veterinarian who performed emergency dental work on Kong added humour and depth to the film. As the story progressed, Trapper joined an expedition into Hollow Earth, where he played a key role in navigating the treacherous environment. The Monsterverse has been expanding steadily since its launch in 2014 with Godzilla. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire was the highest-grossing entry, earning over &571 million worldwide.

Beyond the Monsterverse, Dan Stevens continues to have a packed schedule.
