CW’s Riverdale Suspended Over Coronavirus Outbreak

Riverdale's production halted after a crewmember was in contact with coronavirus patient

Teenage drama and mystery series Riverdale‘s upcoming season’s production has been suspended after a crewmember met someone who was recently diagnosed with the novel coronavirus. However, the team isn’t clear whether the individual was part of the crew.

In an official statement released by Warner Bros TV, they stated, “We are working closely with the appropriate authorities and health agencies in Vancouver to identify and contact all individuals who may have come into direct contact with our team members. The health and safety of our employees, casts, and crews are always our top priority. We have and will continue to take precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world.”

Not just Riverdale but the production of major TV and web shows have been canceled or they’re kept on hold over the concerns surrounding the global outbreak of COVID-19.
