Courteney Cox Takes A Dig At Kanye West Claiming ‘Friends’ Wasn’t Funny

Kanye West recently returned to Instagram and an old tweet of his surfaced from back in October 2020, where he claimed the classic sitcom Friends, ‘wasn’t funny.’ The rapper shared a snap of a text claiming to be from West, but revealed that it was fabricated, while also adding that he didn’t write the teeet that said “Friends wasn’t funny either” but I wish I had.’ However, this caught the attention of Courteney Cox. Friends star took to her Instagram and shared her thoughts with a brief video.

The actress takes a shot at Ye along the way in the video. The post also featured a short video of Cox looking at her phone, when she came across Kanye’s recent post. The text is highlighted that reads, “I actually didn’t write the teeet that said “Friends wasn’t funny either” but I wish I had,’ while also highlighting Kanye West’s handle. The video was set to Kanye and T-Pain’s song Heartless and shows an upset Cox turning around and turning off the speaker playing Kanye and T-Pain’s song as the video ends.

Alongside the video, Courtney penned in the caption, “I bet the old Kayne thought Friends was funny.” For the unversed, Kanye’s original tweet was seemingly prompted by an Instagram post by Cox’s Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston in late October 2020. The post showed Aniston dropping off her Presidential ballot, revealing she had voted for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and explaining why.

The end of her post included a post-script, which read, ‘It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible.’ West then tweeted a screengrab of a news story about Aniston’s post, adding, ‘Wow that Rogan interview got em shook Let’s gooooooooo’ before tweeting, ‘Friends wasn’t funny either,’ which he deleted and now claims wasn’t written by him.

West had qualified to be on the Presidential ballot in 12 states, with Wyoming preacher Michelle Tidball as his running mate. He also urged his followers to vote for him as a write-in, though the rapper only received 70K votes and ultimately conceded. West has expressed interest in running again in 2024, though it’s unclear if he’ll make a push to get on the ballot. West has also not publicly responded to Cox’s Instagram video at this time.
