Chris Rock Is Not Interested In Reconciliation With Will Smith

After Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, Smith's career went downhill. He was slammed by many celebrities but now it looks like even Chris Rock isn’t ready to patch things up.

It’s been almost two months after the 2022 Oscars, but the topic of Will Smith’s notorious slap has resurfaced as Jada Pinkett Smith addressed the event on a new edition of Red Table Talk. However, it appears like Chris Rock is unfazed by Jada’s recent words. A source revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Chris seems unconcerned with Jada’s “plea” for Will and Chris to make things right between them. The source said, “He’s not concerned with the Smiths at the moment. He’s touring and he’s preparing for a comedy special.”

According to the source, Chris is the most honest guy ever; nothing he does is premeditated or false, and he is not engrossed in the Hollywood environment; instead, he is focused on himself. Jada broke her silence on the Oscars incident, in which her husband punched Chris Rock in the face after he made a joke about Jada’s shaved head during the live telecast of the award show, during the most recent episode of Red Table Talk. She shared, “Considering what I’ve been through with my own health and what happened at the Oscars, thousands have reached out to me with their stories.”

Jada continues, “I’m using this moment to give our alopecia family an opportunity to talk about what it’s like to have this condition and to inform people about what alopecia actually is.” “Now, about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile. The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one other more than ever,” she added.

The actress went on to say, “Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that keeps figuring this thing called life together.” After the incident, Will apologized publicly to Chris and resigned from the Academy. Will was barred from attending any Academy events, in person or digitally, for a decade, according to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Chris, who declined to seek charges that night, has yet to address the issue formally. During several stops on his stand-up tour, he has made casual jokes about the slap.
