As vaccines get available, 2021 marked the revival of the red carpet. The award shows started filling up with actual in-person attendees. By the weeks, it became clear that, upon returning to the red carpet, the Hollywood stars weren’t messing around. Black tuxedos on men were quickly labeled as monotonous, replaced by bright colors and interesting silhouettes. Oscar De La Renta’s creative directors, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim assisted in a complete transformation of Billie Eilish at the Met Gala, while Olivier Rousteing turned Zendaya into a Balmain-draped goddess.

Every year she wears something just different and this year Kim had done the same. Shang-Chi actor Simu Liu walked the red carpet for the London premiere of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on August 26. And he looked dapper in a metallic velvet suit from Tom Ford of course. In true Chalamet style, the Beautiful Boy actor paired the glitzy look with a crisp collarless shirt, white heeled boots, and black sunglasses.

As previously, Eilish began discussions with Oscar De La Renta about her Met Gala dress, seems she had a major demand! And that is the brand had to stop using fur. They agreed and worked together to create this massive peach gown that ushered in a new era of style for Eilish.
