Check Out The Best Red Carpet Look Of 2021

As the premieres and award shows were held in person in 2021, several Hollywood celebrities owned the red carpet.

As vaccines get available, 2021 marked the revival of the red carpet. The award shows started filling up with actual in-person attendees. Premieres of the movies and shows stopped getting postponed and were actually held. Moreover, the Met Gala that was held on the second Monday in September gets a new day as it was held on the first Monday in May and held its first event in a year and a half.

By the weeks, it became clear that, upon returning to the red carpet, the Hollywood stars weren’t messing around. Black tuxedos on men were quickly labeled as monotonous, replaced by bright colors and interesting silhouettes. Oscar De La Renta’s creative directors, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim assisted in a complete transformation of Billie Eilish at the Met Gala, while Olivier Rousteing turned Zendaya into a Balmain-draped goddess.

Meanwhile, some stars opted to remain home, but they still turned outlooks for the Instagram audiences. We look back in time picked up some of the best red carpet looks of 2021. From Met Gala to Grammys, here are the top picks of 2021.

Bella Hadid
Hadid wore a dress from the Italian luxury brand’s Haute Couture fall/winter 2021/22 collection at the Tre Piani (Three Floors) screening during the 74th annual Cannes Film Festival on July 11, 2021, in Cannes, France.

Zendaya
Zendaya and her stylist, Law Roach, had quite a busy year, and it’s almost too difficult to choose the best look from the actress’ red carpet appearances, but this nude Balmain gown is too gorgeous not to include.

Machine Gun Kelly
One of the notable menswear outfits from the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards was MGK. Machine Gun Kelly’s Berluti ensemble is worthy of just as much attention. Donning a standout glistening all-red ensemble from Kris Van Assche fronted Berluti menswear, the American musician appears in a matching blazer, trousers, and t-shirt set before completing his getup with a pair of smart black patent leather shoes.

Kim Kardashian
Basically, everyone had an opinion about Kardashian’s Met Gala gown, which was a large departure from her usual skin-revealing red carpet style. Every year she wears something just different and this year Kim had done the same. Kim wore a face-covering look by Balenciaga Creative Director Demna Gvasalia, who also designed similar styles worn by both her and Kanye West at his Donda album listening parties in previous months.

Simu Liu
Shang-Chi actor Simu Liu walked the red carpet for the London premiere of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on August 26. And it looks like he is still running with the baton from the world premiere, as Simu was looking incredibly sharp in this Grayscale double-breasted Bordeaux shawl collar suit which upholds tailoring traditions. Between the color, the luxe wool fabrication, and the way Simu is carrying himself, he is a vision of outstanding elegance.

Timothée Chalamet
After a long hiatus from lavish events and red carpet arrivals, Timothée Chalamet walked the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival. And he looked dapper in a metallic velvet suit from Tom Ford of course. In true Chalamet style, the Beautiful Boy actor paired the glitzy look with a crisp collarless shirt, white heeled boots, and black sunglasses.

Billie Eilish
As previously, Eilish began discussions with Oscar De La Renta about her Met Gala dress, seems she had a major demand! And that is the brand had to stop using fur. They agreed and worked together to create this massive peach gown that ushered in a new era of style for Eilish.
