Cardi B Says She Wants A ‘Tummy Tuck’ After Giving Birth To Son Wave

Cardi B posted an Instagram Story video where she revealed that her post-baby figure is a little bigger than usual and that her kid did her "wrong."

Cardi B revealed to followers on June 29 that she is getting ready to get plastic surgery in order to obtain her dream physique. The 29-year-old “I Like It” rapper took to Instagram to vent about her post-baby physique, which she claims isn’t ‘giving’ her what she needs. She pointed to her midriff, which was visible through a white cropped top, and added, “This stomach is giving tummy tuck. Like, it’s not bad, but I just don’t like this extra little skin.”

She then attributed her body’s lack of form to her 9-month-old son Wave whom she shares with rapper husband Offset. “I am a little heavier than usual, but I don’t like it, I want to get rid of it. I think Wavey like… did me wrong .” Cardi, who also has Kulture Kiari Cephus, a 3-year-old with Offset, said that she will be able to have a belly tuck after the release of her new song. On Friday, July 1, the rapper will release a song alongside Lil Durk and Kanye West.

Cardi B is renowned for being direct and forthright, and she has never tried to downplay her support for plastic surgery. She previously had breast augmentation and liposuction, and in 2018 she stood up to a troll who dubbed her “lazy” for getting work done. Earlier she said during an Instagram Live, “I do whatever the f*** I want to do with my body, let me tell you something b*. I do whatever the f I want.”

The rapper went on to say, “And I don’t have the time of the day like you do. My job as an entertainer is a 24-hour job, bro. So no, I don’t have time to work out.” “And I wanted specific things that I know that no matter how much I work out, is not gonna get fixed,” Cardi B continued in her live video. “And my boobs, no matter how much I work out, is not gonna look like themselves. That’s right. So, stop it.” Cardi said in 2021 that she had experienced bullying as a child because she was thin, which had left her feeling quite insecure.

She, therefore, obtained the body she sought when she could afford plastic surgery. She told Mariah Carey in an interview for Interview magazine, “Even when I was 18 and became a dancer, I had enough money to afford to buy boobs, so every insecurity that I felt about my breasts was gone.” “When I was 20, I went to the urban strip club, and in the urban strip clubs, you had to have a big butt,” the rapper continued. “So I felt insecure about that. It took me back to high school. So I got my ass done. And then I felt super confident.”
