Cardi B claps back at haters who claim Travis Scott should’ve won her Grammy

Cardi took to her social media to rant off her frustrations after some fans of Travis slammed her by claiming that she didn't deserve the Best Rap Album Grammy. She clapped back at those critics and even opened up about the hardships that he went through.

Cardi B took to Twitter to defend herself and clap back at the trollers who claimed that Cardi shouldn’t have won her Best Rap Album Grammy and that she “didn’t deserve” the award. Travis Scott‘s new Netflix documentary, Look Mom I Can Fly showed a discouraged looking Travis backstage at the Grammys after his album, Astroworld lost to Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy. So fans took to Twitter to criticise Cardi B on winning the award. But like always, Cardi B is not the one to take crap from anyone and hit back with a series of tweets.

In her first tweet she wrote, “On my album I showed different sides of me. From my intro talking about my http://pass. To living my best life inspiring people. Relationship songs while I was going thru my own relationship drama to shaking ass like Bodak & that ASS. Every song went platinum!” In her second tweet, Cardi explained the difficulties she went through and the struggles during her pregnancy. She wrote, “I did it all while I was pregnant. Throwing up, drowsy, terrible colds and in a rush to finish it so I can start doing music videos before I started showing. I spend 24 hours for months sleeping on a couch with my pregnant depressed ass in a studio.”

Her rant didn’t end there she also revealed how she was battling her own insecurities during her pregnancy and at that time winning the Grammy wasn’t even a thought, she recalled. In her tweet, she explained, “I wasn’t even thinking of winning or even the Grammys. All I can think about was …everybody is disappointed in me. Am I still going to have a career after this baby? Is this album going to make me or break me? I need to finish before I start showing.”

She also revealed how her husband Offset helped her with all the management after she had separated for her manager at that time. She asked Offset to talk to her label as she had no relationship with them. She was then relocated to Atlanta and Miami to wish her album before her baby bump grew bigger.

She in another tweet wrote, “So when I won a Grammy for it I didn’t have no words to say but when I went home I started reminiscing on what I went thru during that period I was like YEA BITCH YOU DESERVE THIS SH-T!”, And she admitting it further said, “And until this day my shit still charting.” She also went on to share what late rapper Nipsey Hussle tod her while Invasion of Privacy was released. She in another tweet wrote, “When I won Nipsey said on a comment to me WHEN IS YOUR TIME IS YOUR TIME! Now when I speak to upcoming artist or people who ask me for advice I tell them the same thing ! WHEN IS YOUR TIME IS YOUR TIME and when it comes don’t let nobody take that special moment away from you!”
