Britney’s Father Jamie Steps Down From Her Conservatorship

The most awaited and much due first step to freedom for the American singer Britney Spears has come in since her father Jamie agreed stepping down from her conservatorship.

This is like a ray of hope for the American singer, musician and queen of pop Britney Spears and it finally looks like things even though a lot later are going to turn out good for her since Britney’s father Jamie steps down from her conservatorship.

A leading global digital entertainment publication officially reported about this a day back on the 12th August which can be a new beginning along with first step towards getting her life back to live freely since Britney’s father Jamie steps down from her conservatorship.

After 13 long years of struggle and fight finally it’s like Britney’s plea has been given attention and heed since Britney’s father Jamie steps down from her conservatorship.

However, Britney’s dad Jamie Spears has clearly stated that his decision to step down is not immediately effective and he is going to do so when he feels like ‘the time is right’ according to the court papers filed which had been reported by a leading global digital online publication.

This move is in response to Britney’s attorney and lawyer Mathew Rosengart’s petition that clearly stated about wanting Jamie Spears to be removed and suspended from the post of her conservator as for more than a decade now, all know that Jamie has been in charge of Britney’s estate which also includes her finances as well.

According to the court document shared by the said global digital entertainment publication, Jamie’s lawyer wrote, “There are, in fact, no actual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the Conservator of the Estate under Probate Code section 2650. And it is highly debatable whether a change in conservator at this time would be in Ms. Spears’ best interests … Nevertheless, even as Mr. Spears is the unremitting target of unjustified attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests”.

Britney has argued against that first point, taking a firm stand for herself in a virtual court hearing back in June 2021 to share her experiences under the conservatorship wherein she had in the 23 minute long audio testimony with the judge in the court hearing said, “I want to be heard .. I want changes and I want changes going forward. I deserve changes … I just want my life back, it’s been 13 years and it’s enough, It’s doing me way more harm than good … I feel ganged up on and I feel bullied and I feel left out and alone. I’m tired of feeling alone”.

Jamie Spear’s decision to ultimately step down from the conservatorship is a huge ray of hope and silver lining along with being a meaningful moment for each one of the global fans, celebrities, netizens and social media users who took part in the #FreeBritney campaign which has only grown much more stronger over the years and has supported her in this fight for freedom and independence.

Whilst this doesn’t really mean that it’s an end to the conservatorship just yet, but it does appear that Jamie Spears is currently preparing “for an orderly transition to a new conservator”, according to what the court documents say.

Britney’s attorney and lawyer Mathew Rosengart shared a statement with the said leading global digital entertainment publication after Jamie Spears’s filing announcing his decision in which he says, “I announced in Court on July 14 that, after 13 years of the status quo, it was time for Mr. Spears to be suspended or removed as conservator and that my firm and I would move aggressively and expeditiously for that outcome”.

He also reveals, “Twelve days later, my firm filed a Petition for Mr. Spears’s suspension and removal based on strong, insurmountable legal grounds, which were unequivocally supported by the law and all parties involved, including Jodi Montgomery, Britney Spears, and her medical team”.

He furthermore also added, “We are pleased that Mr. Spears and his lawyer have today conceded in a filing that he must be removed. It is vindication for Britney.  We are disappointed, however, by their ongoing shameful and reprehensible attacks on Ms. Spears and others. We look forward to continuing our vigorous investigation into the conduct of Mr. Spears, and others, over the past 13 years, while he reaped millions of dollars from his daughter’s estate, and I look forward to taking Mr. Spears’s sworn deposition in the near future”.

Lastly he concluded by telling, “In the interim, rather than making false accusations and taking cheap shots at his own daughter, Mr. Spears should remain silent and step aside immediately”.
