Brad Pitt Says He Asked For Kiss With Margot Robbie To Be Included In ‘Babylon’

Brad Pitt revealed that he didn't want to pass on the opportunity to make out with Margot Robbie.

Not a while ago, Margot Robbie revealed that she didn’t want to miss even a single chance to kiss Hollywood star, Brad Pitt. Now Pitt has revealed that it was his idea to share an onscreen kiss with his co-star Margot Robbie while filming the upcoming drama/comedy Babylon.

During a recent interview with The Project’s Waleed Aly on Monday, Brad Pitt let slip that he didn’t want to pass the opportunity to make out with the Australian beauty. ‘No [it wasn’t in the script]. I had asked for it if we can write that in,’ he laughed. ‘You know, when was I going to get a chance to do this again? And we did it.’

‘I might add too that Nellie (Margot’s character) kisses fifteen people in this movie,’ Robbie explained before Pitt joked that Nellie was probably carrying a few S*xually transmitted diseases (STDs). Directed by Damien Chazelle of La La Land fame, Babylon stars Brad and Margot as debauched movie stars in the Roaring Twenties.

Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie previously co-starred in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood, they never actually acted together before Babylon. The film is packed with wild, Dionysian parties and ribald behaviour, largely involving Margot’s character, who is said to be inspired by the original ‘It girl’ Clara Bow.

Margot went viral at the start of the month when she divulged to E! News that she took matters into her own hands and kissed Brad in Babylon. ‘That wasn’t in the script. but I thought: “When else am I gonna get the chance to kiss Brad Pitt? I’m just gonna go for it,”‘ she revealed.

Robbie confessed she was the one to kiss her co-star: ‘I said: “Damien, I think Nellie would just go up and kiss Jack.” And Damien was like: “Well, she could – wait, hold on. You just wanna kiss Brad Pitt.”‘ Kissing Brad ‘was just great,’ she said, and although the first take went well, the director ‘was like: “No, do it again. That really works.” I was like: “Oh, great.”‘

Alongside Pitt and Robbie, Babylon’s cast also includes Diego Calva, Jean Smart, Tobey Maguire and Li Jun Li, the movie is slated for release in Australia on January 12, 2023. The plot synopsis of Babylon, as per IMDb reads, “Decadence, depravity, and outrageous excess lead to the rise and fall of several ambitious dreamers in 1920s Hollywood.”
